Topbrass Take It To The Max JH CGC

3/1/1999 – 1/25/2013

Maxi is an intensely birdy, high powered, water crashing dog, with loads of style, drive and determination. She is 55 lbs, with a rich, medium gold, field style coat that cleans up easily after a day afield. Around the house Maxi possesses a sweet and gentle disposition with impeccable manners. In the field Maxi has been hunted for both waterfowl and extensively for upland game. Maxi is an incredible gun dog and the downfall of many a Rooster Pheasant. She possesses the renowned "Golden Nose", and can wind a bird at great distance.

With the passing of our old Minders, Maxi has taken over the roll as top dog and is the grand old dam of the kennel.  Maxi has retired from Dog Games and has taken over as the full time Pheasant dog and cookie moocher.  She still enjoys going out and running marks every day in training, and enjoys showing the youngsters how it’s done. Maxi’s offspring have excelled in many pursuits. Their warm friendly disposition and tenacious attitude about work have made them favorites in many homes.

BRIEF PEDIGREE

Sire-Ram River Palomine*** (Wraiths Duncan*** MH OS x Peanut Brittle V ***)

Dam- SR Topbrass Toast To Emma JH WCX (FC/FTCH/AFTCH Cedarpond Brasdor Skywalker x Hillviews Ready To Smoke OD )

I had the opportunity to watch Emma at several Hunt Tests during the 1998 Hunt Test season. She was consistently an exciting performer to watch, high powered, explosive water entry, great marking skills, with an intense desire for birds. When socializing after the tests, she was everybody's friend, the consummate Golden Love Sponge. When her owner decided to breed her I just had to have a pup. (She wouldn't part with Emma).

Maxi's parents Pal and Emma, are both from proven lines of Champion Quality Field Performers. In looking at Maxi's pedigree, there are only two dogs listed in four generations that don't possess some type of title or are QAA.

We hope that Maxi will continue the family tradition!
